FINALISTS- THE BRITISH BUSINESS EXCELLENCE AWARDS

The UPAC Group, Scotland's Leading Packaging Supplier, from Cardonald in Glasgow has beaten off stiff competition to become a finalist in the Employer of the Year in the Lloyds Bank Business Excellence Awards 2021.

The Lloyds Bank British Business Excellence Awards (BBEA) celebrates and showcases the resilience, innovation and creativity of British businesses.



The UPAC Group was developed to meet the market demands of a one stop location facilitating the entire packaging supply process from concept to final product delivery. The UPAC Group offers the best solution for all your box packaging needs, with access to specialist machinery in the manufacture of corrugated boxes, solid board cartons, lithographic laminate boxes, polythene products, labels and a distribution arm to ensure unrivalled packaging services. In addition, our full in-house design team is ready to work side by side with customers to create solutions exclusive to the specific business requirements. With 180,000 square foot of storage and a fleet of vehicles at our disposal, we make sure the product is always available when needed.

Over the last year, despite the pandemic, our business has continued to grow from strength to strength. We diversified our product list to help supply the full range to our customers, when other businesses remained closed.

We devised an innovative range of ‘U-Chill’ temperature-controlled packaging (on site) to provide a solution to help businesses who moved online/ ecommerce when lockdown hit in March. We also provided struggling businesses with free stockholding, no customers under financial pressure were put on stop and none of our customers were let down.

Our team are empowered and are left to manage their own accounts- similar to how they would run their own business. The team sit in a large open office where collaboration from each individual is key to the success of the business as a whole. Staff are encouraged to understand every aspect of the business as movement within roles is a regular occurrence. The company believes completely that a happy workforce leads to a healthy bottom line.
